This is the best mexican spot in Beatrice. Best customer service and such good food!! We come almost daily when in town, love the staff and love the beer options and food. 10/10 thank you playa azul.
Don't let the outside fool you, the food is amazing. We love coming here, whether lunch or dinner you get a lot for your money. This is the 5.00 express lunch, tostada, almost too much, but I ate it all. We will be back in the near future.

OMG my buddy brought me here and it was amazing. First was greeted warmly and had my drink and fresh house made chips and salsa right away. They had so much to order from I got a dish that had 🥩🍗 and 🍤 and it was amazing. And for under $16 it came with sour cream, guac, Spanish rice,and beans. I ordered a enchilada to go for my gf and they were nice enough to bring it out to me while I was in my car. Definitely coming back here
This place is amazing. First, the prices are very low. I had a 32oz Dos Equis for just $4.25. A 12 ounce beer would have been just $2. Just look at the menu and see just how cheap all their food is. But, if it's not good, then who cares if it's cheap? Turns out it's fantastic. My server, Victor, was outstanding. He was quick to seat me, quick to get me a beer, and quick to bring out the warm chips and salsa. After looking through all the tasty looking options on the menu I decided to punt and ask Victor what he recommended. He directed me to the Jalisco Special, (just $16), which included grilled steak, shrimp and chicken with sauteed veggies and a cheese sauce. That was an incredible recommendation. SO GOOD! So good I even tipped the cook. And even though I hadn't eaten lunch that day, the portion was so big I stuffed myself and will still have enough for breakfast. I don't come by this way very often but when I do, I'll be eating here again.
Our favorite family out restaurant in Beatrice! GREAT food every time and absolutely LOVE all the staff! Fun family oriented atmosphere with reasonable prices. With a family of 6 it's not often we all agree on the same place to eat but Playa gets a yes vote from all of us every time!
Excellent shrimp burrito!! Great tasting cheese sauce & salsa! Worth the visit!! Meal was just past lunch rush, about 1:30p. Staff still very attentive. Atmosphere was quieter than most which was a plus for me!
I’m from a small border town in AZ, and frequently travel to Mex. I know real, authentic Mexican food when I taste it. After trying so many “Mexican” spots and food trucks around Lincoln and Nebraska that always end up super mid, Playa Azul in Beatrice actually slaps. 🙏 The second I walked in I was greeted by a really chill guy who made me feel welcome right away. I saw the review photos and decided to test my luck and go big. I ordered the Macajete Playa Azul meal ($21 total) and I do NOT regret it at all. It was genuinely authentic, loaded with flavor, and tasted just like the real deal back home. The food came out piping hot, the to-go packaging was wrapped perfectly, and everything looked and tasted fantastic. Even though it was takeout, they still hooked me up with chips and dip (not pictured), something a lot of places just don’t do. The whole experience was straight fire, 10/10 across the board. Next time I’m definitely leaving a tip as I never do on my first run (but these guys earned it). If you want real Mexican food and you’re tired of the usual disappointing spots, stop what you’re doing and come here. Highly recommend! I will be coming back (: 👌🏽🔥
